Rebecca & JB Haslett, owners of LEFT COAST Coffee Co., Depoe Bay/Lincoln City, are reinvigorating their drive to generate the gifting of at least 500 - 12oz. Bags of Specialty Coffee to be given away as gratitude for "Frontline" workers throughout our local community - The Oregon Coast from Newport to Otis. We've been hit hard and it just keeps coming!

 

We're calling it Fuel A Frontliner -- #500fortheFrontline

 

Starting with the obvious, we want to thank first-responders, medical and emergency personnel all across the board. Further, we are looking to show gratitude to everyone that continues to work and support our community! - Grocery Clerks, Teachers, Gas Pumpers, Delivery / Postal Drivers, Janitors, Restaurant, Foodbank and Volunteer Kitchen Workers... You get the picture. 500 bags of thank you, 500 hugs we can't share right now.

 

Not all of us, or all businesses, have been affected the same by this. In light of the virus, governmental orders and community sentiment about retail service in tourist districts we have indeed lost all retail, and virtually all wholesale business for the foreseeable future. The fires of recent have only made things harder and all the more complicated for small businesses trying to survive. Buying coffee from our family online to give away to frontline workers has the dual benefit of keeping our business afloat and viable while expressing gratitude to those that are keeping us going and deserve it the most. Beyond that, you also receives a discount on your own coffee for participating and LEFT COAST is further donating 50% of all profits to the cause in the form of more coffee!  

 

Although we hope for most individuals to add a bag or two to their own coffee purchases, we are seeking business sponsors to lead the way. We are counting on 10-20 sponsors at the 10 bag / $125 level, 5-10 at the 20 bag / $250 level and a few heroes at the 40 bag / $500 level. We are matching all purchases by donating 50% of our profits to the goal of 500 bags given away here in April!
